In court filings ahead of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ October sentencing, his legal team has made a pointed plea: he has already endured substantial suffering and should not be subjected to a harsh prison term. The defense argues that his incarceration has taken a serious toll on his mental health, reputation, family relationships and his role as a father.
KIM KARDASHIAN APPLAUDS DAUGHTER NORTH'S UNIQUE STYLE, SAYS SHE LOVES WATCHING HER EMBRASE HER TRUE SELF

“She teaches me a lot. She has a really unique style. She puts me on to so many brands and she just loves what she loves,” Kardashian shared. “It is really fun to see someone be so creative and to know herself so much.”
Kardashian recalled that North once experimented with a more traditionally feminine look to match what her friends were wearing, but quickly realized it did not reflect her personality.
According to Kardashian, North gave the girly look about a week before deciding it was not for her. “She realized very quickly, this isn’t me, and I love that for her,” Kardashian said.
North’s individuality has already shone through on major stages. In August she made headlines at her first Venice Film Festival appearance, arriving alongside Kardashian in a bold gray and white pinstriped dress lined with black lace and held together with oversized safety pins. She completed the edgy look with chunky black boots, blue hair tied in ponytails, a white parasol, spiked black socks, and plenty of attitude. Kardashian, meanwhile, opted for a sleek long black dress paired with heels and sunglasses.
Earlier in June Kardashian celebrated North’s 12th birthday by sharing a series of unseen childhood photos on Instagram. The heartfelt post featured images of Kardashian kissing North’s cheek as a baby, playful snapshots of her as a toddler, and pictures of her experimenting with instruments and toys.
“My little baby North turns 12 years old today,” Kardashian wrote in her caption. “We were looking at pics today together and laughing so hard, you were so small. It has been the most special calling being your mom. I love you forever and got you forever my bubs.”

DIDDY’S FAMILY AND LOVED ONES PLEAD FOR MERCY AS JUDGE WEIGHS HIS PRISON SENTENCE

Sean “Diddy” Combs is awaiting sentencing following his July conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. While acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, the 55-year-old music mogul faces up to 20 years behind bars. His legal team has filed a sentencing memorandum urging a reduced sentence of 14 months, equal to the time Combs has already served at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center since his September 2024 arrest.
The filing, submitted to Judge Arun Subramanian on Sept. 22, includes more than 75 letters of support from family members, ex-partners, and friends. His attorneys argued that Combs has endured “just punishment” in “one of the most notorious jails in America” and that he should now “go home to his family, so he can continue his treatment and try to make the most of the next chapter of his extraordinary life.”
Among the most heartfelt pleas was a letter from Combs’ mother, Janice Combs, who described the separation as “excruciatingly difficult and painful.” She acknowledged that her son “has made some terrible mistakes in his life, which I know he recognizes,” while also recalling his traumatic childhood, including the death of his father at age two. “On December 21, I will be 85 years old,” she wrote. “I would like to spend the last few years of my life with my son, Sean.”
All six of Combs’ eldest children also wrote in his defence. His son Christian declared, “I’m asking you to please let my father out of jail! … This is my dad and he is the best father in the whole world.” Justin Combs echoed that sentiment, telling the judge, “My father has been there for me every day of my life — not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually and in the deepest sense of what it means to be a father.”
Quincy Brown, adopted by Combs after the death of his father, explained, “He stepped in and stepped up as a father, at an important time in my life … It was unconditional, safe and unwavering.” Chance Combs, 19, added, “It doesn’t feel right at home without him here. We miss him everyday.” Ex-partners Yung Miami, Sarah Chapman, and Dana Tran also described
Combs as supportive and loving, with Tran noting his presence is vital for their young daughter. Judge Subramanian will decide Combs’ fate on October 3.
