Jermaine Jackson has been ordered to pay more than $6.5 million to a woman who accused him of rape, after failing to respond to a civil lawsuit filed against him in California.
According to court documents, Rita Butler Barrett secured a default judgment against the singer covering damages, court costs and alleged medical expenses connected to the case. The judgment was entered after Jackson reportedly never responded to the lawsuit or appeared in court proceedings.

In a stunning disclosure published on May 16, 2026, Emmy-winning producer Geoffrey Mark alleged that pop music legend Michael Jackson confessed to being molested as a child.
Mark, a close friend who spent time with Jackson during intimate gatherings in the late 1990s and early 2000s, stated that the King of Pop detailed being “inappropriately touched by an adult” during his years as a child performer.
