Queen Latifah will not let any death hoaxes continue.

After a rumor circulated on the internet earlier this week that the Equalizer actress had died, she denied the story, stating she is alive and well.

Good morning. It's me, Latifah, the 55-year-old stated in a video posted to Instagram on March 5. I'm 100 percent A-OK.

She blew a kiss to the camera before saying, I can't believe everything you read or see online. Can't believe anything anymore, right? I'm fine. Peace. Though she is not currently suffering any health difficulties, Queen Latifah (actual name Dana Elaine Owens) has expressed a desire to live a healthy lifestyle. In fact, the rapper—who shares son Rebel with longtime lover Eboni Nichols—has previously revealed she had to make some changes in order to stay in tip-top shape.

There were certain ways I wanted to feel—if I wanted to feel healthier, get in shape, drop some pounds, get stronger—there were changes I had to make in\ order to do that, the singer behind the U.N.I.T.Y. performer told The Healthy in June. I'm also someone who needed to learn about health. There were certain habits I had growing up that were normal in my family that I had to retrain myself from—cutting back on salt, for instance, she commented. Salty foods were normal. And when I moved to [Los Angeles] to do Living Single at the age of 23, I started eating differently.

The Grammy winner's choice to adopt lifestyle adjustments was also influenced by her family's battle with cardiovascular disease and obesity. Queen Latifah discusses the emotional toll of obesity on her family, highlighting the significant positive impact that a new health approach can have. She emphasizes the importance of prioritizing heart health and self-care practices in her life. Among her self-care activities, she mentions taking baths to reset after physical work, walking for mental clarity and happiness, and engaging inmeditation and prayer. Prayer serves as a way for her to release worries beyond her control, providing a sense of freedom and reassurance that everything will be alright.

Lifetime used its Upfront presentation to make a clear statement about where it is headed next. The network unveiled major talent deals with Queen Latifah and Taraji P Henson, introduced its first microdrama project executive produced by Taye Diggs, and revealed a new group of original movies under its Love of a Lifetime banner along with a powerful standalone film based on a true story.

Queen Latifah and Taraji P Henson are officially joining Lifetime’s roster of creative partners, which already includes Mary J Blige, Toni Braxton, and Robin Roberts. Queen Latifah has signed on to executive produce three new Lifetime original movies through her production company Flavor Unit Entertainment alongside her longtime producing partner Shakim Compere. The projects mark a continuation of her relationship with the network and further position her as a driving force behind female centered storytelling.

Taraji P Henson will executive produce two original films through her company TPH Entertainment in partnership with Fox Entertainment Studios. Production will be overseen by her head of production and development Jamila Jordan Theus. While specific story details have not yet been announced, the deal reinforces Lifetime’s focus on working with established actresses who are building strong producing careers behind the camera.

Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for A and E, Lifetime and LMN, said both women share the network’s passion for telling powerful stories about women and have helped shape its legacy with culturally resonant projects. Their return signals Lifetime’s ongoing commitment to bold female driven films.

In a notable first, Lifetime is also stepping into the vertical storytelling space with Tides of Temptation, a premium microdrama connected to the upcoming Love of a Lifetime movie Terry McMillan Presents Paradise with You. The microdrama is executive produced by Taye Diggs along with Autumn Federici and Shelby Stone. Creator and actor Q Stenline also known as SwagBoyQ stars alongside Troy Brookins, Mea Wilkerson and David John Craig.

Four siblings who were longtime friends of Michael Jackson have filed a lawsuit in California accusing the late pop star of being a serial child predator." Edward, Dominic, and Aldo Cascio, alongside their sister Marie-Nicole Porte, allege in a U.S. District Court complaint that Jackson drugged and sexually assaulted them for over a decade. The plaintiffs claim the abuse began when they were as young as seven or eight years old. The plaintiffs met Jackson through their father who worked at a hotel that Jackson often stayed, the lawsuit said.

The Michael Jackson Company and individuals associated with the estate, trust and production companies attached to the late entertainer were named as defendants. Plaintiffs reject the Jackson Estate's morally bankrupt efforts to control and silence them, plaintiffs; attorney Howard King wrote in the federal lawsuit filed on Feb. 27. Plaintiffs bring this action to hold the Michael Jackson Estate, its affiliates and the persons who control or work on their behalf, accountable for Jackson's conduct and their own wrongdoing.”

Veteran entertainment industry attorney Martin Singer, representing the Jackson estate, called the lawsuit a desperate money grab.” This new court filing is a transparent forum-shopping tactic in their scheme to obtain hundreds of millions of dollars from Michael’s estate and companies, Singer said in a statement.

Singer pointed out that Edward Cascio's 2011 book “My Friend Michael: An Ordinary Friendship with an Extraordinary Man, included family statements that consistently and repeatedly asserted that Michael never harmed any of them or anyone else. Singer also noted during a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Edward, Frank and Marie-Nicole Cascio all agreed that Jackson never harmed them, Singer said. The Cascios spent decades defending and affirming Michael’s innocence, Singer said. Notably, these shakedown attempts come more than 15 years after Michael’s death, thus carrying no risk of being sued for defamation. Sadly, in death just as in life, Michael’s talents and success continue to make him a target,” Singer said.

‘SUPACELL’ ACTOR AND RAPPER GHETTS SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS FOR FATAL HIT-AND-RUN.

Award-winning British rapper and actor Ghetts, real name Justin Clarke-Samuel, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison following a harrowing fatal hit-and-run incident in East London. The sentencing took place at the Old Bailey, marking a tragic end to a case that has shocked both the UK music industry and the international community.

The 41-year-old artist, who recently gained global acclaim for his role as Andre in the hit Netflix series Supacell, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and a separate count of dangerous driving. The court heard that on the night of October 18, 2025, Clarke-Samuel was driving his black BMW M5 while approximately one-and-a- half times over the legal drink-drive limit.

Prosecutor Philip McGhee described a “quite appalling litany of incidents” captured on CCTV leading up to the crash. Clarke-Samuel was seen speeding at up to 74 mph in a 30 mph zone, running six red lights, and driving on the wrong side of the road. At approximately 11:33 p.m. in Ilford, he struck 20-year-old Nepalese university student Yubin Tamang as he crossed the street. Tamang was “catapulted into the air” by the force of the impact and suffered catastrophic injuries, passing away in the hospital two days later.

Following the collision, Clarke-Samuel did not stop or call emergency services. Instead, he drove an additional eight miles to his home in Woodford. Police arrested him the following day after tracing his vehicle, which had sustained significant damage. During the trial, his defense stated that the rapper’s reckless behavior was partially fueled by a “fear of being followed,” stemming from a previous traumatic experience where he was robbed at gunpoint.

Judge Mark Lucraft KC, in a televised sentencing, told the rapper, “You knew you were in no fit state to drive… your actions have taken the life of a promising young man.” In addition to his 12-year custodial sentence, Clarke-Samuel has been disqualified from driving for 17 years.

In a statement read by his lawyer, Ghetts expressed “extreme regret, shame, and remorse” for his actions, apologizing directly to Tamang’s parents. Yubin’s family, who had moved to the UK from Nepal for his education, described their hearts as “broken beyond repair,” mourning the loss of their only child.
