The 34-year-old Atlanta rapper previously changed his name to "Sex" in 2018.

Young Thug, who was recently declared one of the greatest living American songwriters, has suggested he's willing to change his name because of Jeffrey Epstein.

In a post shared on Wednesday (April 29), Thug reacted to a post on X, formerly Twitter, complaining about the apparent lack of focus on the files surrounding the investigation into convicted child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

"And just like that... everybody stopped talking about the Epstein Files," read the post, which was from an account that posts often right-wing "ragebait"-style content.

In response to the post, Thug, born Jeffery Lamar Williams II, wrote,"I'm changing my fucking name asap bro." He did not elaborate further.

Meek Mill was among those who were curious what he would change his name to.

"What you gone change it to?" wrote Meek in response.

The release of the heavily redacted Epstein files brought several revelations, especially regarding some of the elite figures allegedly connected to him. It also revealed that he was banned from Xbox Live in 2013 for undisclosed reasons, among many other bizarre facts and allegations about the disgraced New York financier. The files frequently mentioned Donald Trump, too, but the president has repeatedly tried to distance himself from Epstein.

In 2018, Young Thug announced plans to change his artist name to "SEX." He didn't appear to follow through with the name change beyond rebranding his social media accounts, as he continued to drop music as Young Thug. "[From] now on call me SEX!!!" he wrote at the time.

Recently, Thug welcomed Mariah the Scientist to the stage during his Coachella set and referred to her as his wife.

"Make some noise for my motherfuckin' wife," Thug told the crowd.

"Thank you, everybody! Give it up for Young Thug!" Mariah added.
