A long-standing dispute between music mogul Russell Simmons and his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, has escalated into a public confrontation following Russell’s claims that he is being blocked from seeing their daughters. In a series of social media posts, the 68-year-old Def Jam co-founder alleged that Kimora is using their children as leverage to prevent him from pursuing legal action against her.

In a continuing cycle of legal setbacks, Brooklyn rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has been ordered to undergo extensive drug and mental health treatment following his upcoming return to federal prison. On December 5, 2025, U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer sentenced the 29-year-old artist to three months in custody for repeatedly violating the terms of his supervised release, violations that included drug possession and physical assault.

Singer Aubrey O’Day has revealed that she was recently rushed to the emergency room after suffering a violent physical illness she attributes to the trauma of watching the new Netflix docuseries, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
