Queen Latifah brought the house down at the 2026 American Music Awards.
And as she came onto the award show carpet ahead of the May 25 gala, which she hosted, the 55-year-old was accompanied by her boyfriend, Eboni Nichols, and their son, Rebel.
For the event, Queen Latifah wore a voluminous gray and white fur coat with a white belt around her waist and her hair pulled back into a smooth ponytail.
Eboni donned a forest green dress with thigh-level cutouts and a matching jacket. The two women each held their son's hand, while Eboni's other hand was held by Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade's 7-year-old daughter Kaavia, who joined the family on the carpet.
While Eboni and Queen Latifah have been together for over a decade and make frequent public appearances, Rebel's first significant red carpet outing came at the AMAs. For the event, the 6-year-old wore a black suit jacket, a white button-down, black shorts, and knee-high socks.
But Rebel's biggest accessory was his smile as he stood hand in hand with his mothers.
Queen Latifah's return as host of the American Music Awards was thirty years in the making: She last presented in 1995 with Tom Jones Lorrie Morgan.
And, ahead of this year's presentation, the Last Holiday star provided some insight into what it takes to take center stage at an awards show.
"You've got to block everybody out, baby," she said in a May 24 Instagram video. "It's about what is going on in the show."
Teyana Taylor was the one she was most looking forward to seeing out of all the musical acts and guests.
"I've seen her rock live," Queen Latifah stated. "She is great live. But she's had such a year that I know she'll have to close it down by returning home, to music. "And reminding you that she can sing, baby."
And that night, the One Battle After Another star did indeed remind everyone she can more than sing with her performance of “All of Your Heart.”
