Latto has no plans to let online criticism get in the way of her career. Instead, the rapper says negative comments give her another reason to work harder.

The 27-year-old made the remarks during an appearance on Hot Ones, where host Sean Evans asked whether the lyrics to her song "Business & Personal" reflected how she handles criticism in real life.

On the track, from her Big Mama album, Latto raps, "Y'all bitches gotta chill on the hate / 'Cause it's only puttin' gas in the tank." She told Evans that other people's doubts often make her more determined to succeed.

"I don't know what it is in me, like you think you're gonna make me stop or slow down by saying what you saying," she said. "On my momma, that turns me up," Latto added, explaining that criticism gives her something to prove.

"Thank you for putting that battery in my back, b—h. I love when people hate on me because it really gives me a vendetta, like now I have to prove you wrong," she said.

The rapper also addressed the reactions to her "Soul Food Sunday" cooking videos, in which she shares meals on social media. Latto said she remains confident in her cooking despite the comments she receives online.

"Baby, I can cook and if you ever get the chance to try my food you'll know I could cook," she told Evans. She recalled the criticism surrounding one of her gumbo dishes but maintained that the meal had turned out well.

During the interview, Latto also discussed her approach to collaborations with other artists. She said she often agrees to guest appearances without charging a fee when she likes the song or has a good relationship with the artist.

"In my opinion, it's a favor. I do features for free. But I'm like, 'Dang, do I need to be charging?' Because these motherf–kers be trying to charge me," she said.

Latto explained that she prefers making music because she enjoys the creative process, rather than treating every collaboration as a business transaction. However, she admitted that she has begun reconsidering her approach.
