Roc Nation has petitioned a Florida court to hold Demoree Hadley, the daughter of CEO Desiree Perez, in contempt, alleging that a recent interview and subsequent social media posts violated a gag order and unleashed thousands of threats against the company and its legal team.

The dispute centers around a lawsuit Hadley filed in May 2025, which accuses her mother and Roc Nation of orchestrating her involuntary psychiatric commitment under Florida’s Baker and Marchman Acts. Hadley claims Perez falsely portrayed her as a suicide or drug risk, arranging for her two-week institutionalization to drive a wedge between her and her husband.

In response, Roc Nation secured a court order barring Hadley and her husband from making any public comments or releases concerning the case. However, the issue escalated when Hadley appeared in an interview with YouTuber Tasha K, which was subsequently posted to her Instagram. Roc Nation argues this violated the court order, alleging Hadley “affirmatively” shared the interview to influence public perception.

Hadley denies intentional wrongdoing, stating the video was automatically shared after being tagged as a collaborator and that she removed it later that day. But Roc Nation maintains that only Hadley could have approved its posting, making the “accidental” claim implausible.

Court filings assert the fallout has been severe. Thousands of messages threatening Perez and her lawyers have reportedly flooded their inboxes. Roc Nation’s legal team emphasized that the interview and social media activity created “an untenable reality for multiple defendants as well as their counsel, who face daily threats.”

Backing her daughter, music superstar Nicki Minaj has publicly defended Hadley, accusing Perez and Roc Nation of similar exposure of private matters and exerting undue influence. Her involvement has stirred further public attention, with many fans siding with the younger Hadley. Roc Nation is now officially seeking a contempt ruling, which could lead to sanctions or other legal consequences against Hadley.
