Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are about to add a grandchild to both their families.

Eddie Murphy’s son Eric and Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin have announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The couple shared the baby news in a joint Instagram post Feb. 2. The first picture in the post was a black-and-white snap that showed Eric Murphy resting his head on Jasmin Lawrence’s baby bump. The first-time mom smiled wide and stared lovingly at her husband.

In the other two photos, Jasmin Lawrence, who wore an off-the-shoulder white gown, cradled her baby bump.

“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift,” Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy captioned the slideshow and included three red hearts. Fans celebrated the two in the comments.

“Having Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence as your grandparents is life!!!” one wrote.

He said, “what I will say is that I’m not a protestor, I went there as a journalist. I went there to chronicle, document and record what was happening. There is a difference between a protestor and a journalist.” Federal prosecutors have charged him with conspiracy against religious freedom at a place of worship, claiming his reporting crossed into illegal activity. Lemon and his attorneys dispute this, highlighting that his work is protected under the First Amendment.

He recounted being detained at a Los Angeles hotel while covering the Grammys, saying he was handcuffed and “jostled” by federal agents. President Donald Trump has threatened to sue comedian and host Trevor Noah following a series of pointed jokes during the 68 th Annual Grammy Awards on February 1, 2026. In a furious late-night post on Truth Social, the President slammed the ceremony as “virtually unwatchable” and targeted Noah for remarks linking him to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The primary point of contention occurred during the telecast when Noah, hosting for his sixth and final time, referenced the President’s long standing interest in purchasing Greenland. After Billie Eilish won Song of the Year, Noah remarked that the award was something every artist wanted “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland.” He then added the jab that sparked the legal threat: “Which makes sense, I mean, because since Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

The comment drew a mixture of gasps and applause from the audience at the Crypto.com Arena, prompting Noah to jokingly remind the crowd, “I told you, it’s my last year. What are you going to do about it?”

President Trump’s response was immediate, he posted a lengthy diatribe labeling Noah a “total loser” and a “poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C.” He explicitly denied the insinuation that he had ever visited Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little Saint James. “Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!!” Trump wrote. “I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”

The President concluded his post by warning that he would be “sending my lawyers to sue… for plenty$,” and referencing his previous legal victory against ABC’s George Stephanopoulos as a warning to both Noah and the broadcasting network, CBS.

The exchange has reignited debate over the President’s past social ties to Epstein, which have faced renewed scrutiny following the 2026 release of additional Department of Justice documents.
