In a recent interview with Apple Music, the "Big Mama" rapper, known for her album of the same name, revealed that she and boyfriend 21 Savage welcomed their first child, a daughter. "There were tears, and anxiety was through the roof," she said. "It's what I wanted, but I was just like, 'Wait, this is real life. Like, am I really ready?' But ultimately, obviously, I had her, and I'm glad I made the decision to do it."
Latto (real name Alyssa Michelle Stephens) teased her baby's arrival with a pregnancy recap video before confirming she had given birth.
In the montage published to Instagram on May 18, the "Sunday Service" musician includes clips of herself notifying relatives about her pregnancy, recording music, holding her baby bump, and glimpses at her baby shower.

Before fading away to beeps from a hospital monitor and passersby asking her to "push," Latto videotaped herself at 37 weeks pregnant, saying, "I'm so ready to meet my baby."

Around the one-minute mark of the March 20 video, the camera turns to the 27-year-old putting together a scrapbook with baby photographs of herself and boyfriend 21 Savage, as well as a page with a positive pregnancy test that reads, "I only took one test because I already knew what it was."

Latto announced, "Car seat, got a kid on the way."

The video continues with Latto displaying her baby bump in an all-white two-piece outfit. In another touching moment, she stands in front of the camera in a nursery, and a man's hand appears to rest on her baby bump.

Latto has announced her upcoming album, titled "Big Mama," set to be released on May 29. This news was shared in a March 20 Instagram post, where she appeared with a cheetah cub, proudly displaying her baby bump. Along with this announcement, the intro track titled "Business & Personal" is already available for streaming. She received congratulations from various celebrities, including 50 Cent, SZA, and Angel Reese, who expressed their excitement in the comments.

This announcement follows six months after Latto revealed her relationship with rapper 21 Savage, whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph. During a conversation with TMZ on September 29, she humorously mentioned having dinner with her "husband." While she has not disclosed her partner's identity, she openly shares her joy about their relationship, stating that he uplifts her as a person. In an interview with Apple Music in August 2024, she emphasized the importance of finding someone who enhances your life rather than focusing on material possessions.
