Stefon Diggs is downplaying speculation surrounding a recent viral video that appeared to show him and Cardi B having a tense exchange, insisting that the situation has been blown out of proportion.
The NFL star addressed the footage during a conversation with TMZ published on June 3. The clip, which was recorded by a bystander and circulated widely online, showed Diggs and the Grammy-winning rapper looking visibly frustrated while together in public, leading to rumors about the state of their relationship.
When asked whether he and Cardi B are still together, Diggs did not provide a direct answer. Instead, he spoke warmly about the rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar.
"She's beautiful," he said before adding, "That's my child's mother. I love her to death."
Pressed further about their relationship status, Diggs suggested that Cardi would be the best person to answer that question.
The football player also appeared surprised by suggestions that the pair had been arguing in the viral footage. He questioned the characterization of the interaction, saying he did not view it as a disagreement at all.
"What argument?" Diggs asked, noting that he appeared calm throughout the exchange. He added that situations like that are not unusual and should not be interpreted as evidence of serious relationship problems.
When asked directly if things were good between them, Diggs offered a simple response: "Great."
Cardi also addressed the video after it gained traction online. Responding to speculation on social media, she joked about the situation and suggested that people were reading too much into what they saw.
The couple welcomed a son together in November 2025. Since then, reports have suggested that their relationship has experienced ups and downs. Although they have been spotted together multiple times following reports of a split, neither has publicly confirmed that they have officially reconciled.
Sources close to the pair have previously indicated that the door was never fully closed on their relationship. According to one insider, Diggs recently made a greater effort to repair things and demonstrate his commitment to making the relationship work.
The source said those efforts caught Cardi's attention and reminded her of the feelings she still has for him.
Breakup rumors first intensified around the time of the Super Bowl in February, with reports suggesting that Cardi felt the relationship had become complicated. However, signs of a possible reunion emerged on Mother's Day when she attended Diggs' Diggs Deep Foundation wellness event in Washington, D.C., where the pair appeared affectionate on the red carpet.
