The complaint further claims the situation escalated while the man was unconscious. “[West] then repeatedly punched plaintiff as he lay unconscious on the ground, with the intent to cause physical harm,” the filing states.
The plaintiff says he did nothing to provoke the incident. His legal team argues that the alleged attack was completely unexpected, stating that he “did nothing at all to provoke” the situation and had no reason to anticipate it. The lawsuit also describes the alleged actions as “shocking, physically harmful and offensive.”
In addition to the physical injuries, the man claims he suffered emotional distress following the incident. He also accuses West of making false allegations about him after the altercation. According to the filing, West later claimed the plaintiff had engaged in inappropriate conduct toward a woman in his group and “repeated and embellished these lies during a widely viewed podcast appearance,” which allegedly exposed the man to public scrutiny.
However, West has previously offered a different version of events. Speaking on a podcast, he claimed the confrontation stemmed from an incident involving his wife, Bianca Censori. “My wife is walking to the bathroom at the Chateau and this guy just grabbed my wife,” he said, adding that he confronted the individual afterward.
The plaintiff, however, maintains that he did not engage in any inappropriate behaviour and alleges there is video evidence supporting his account.
The lawsuit seeks damages for physical injuries, emotional distress, and reputational harm. West’s representatives have not publicly responded to the claims.
