Rapper, actor, and entrepreneur 50 Cent is set to take center stage in a new documentary series at Hulu, marking a major step in his ongoing expansion in film and television. Following his recent work behind the scenes producing Netflix’s Sean Combs The Reckoning, the artist now turns the lens on his own life story in a three part docuseries that promises an intimate and revealing look at his journey.

The series will trace his transformation from Curtis Jackson, a young dreamer growing up in Queens, into one of the most recognizable figures in music and entertainment. It aims to capture not just his rise to fame, but also the resilience and ambition that defined his path. According to the official description, the project presents a portrait of a figure who has repeatedly turned conflict and adversity into lasting cultural influence.

50 Cent built his reputation as a Grammy winning recording artist with chart topping hits such as In da Club and Candy Shop. Over time, he expanded far beyond music, establishing himself as a savvy businessman and media force through his company G Unit Film and Television Inc. His ability to evolve across industries has made him one of the most influential figures of his generation.

The documentary will also explore his work in film and television. His breakout acting role came in the 2005 film Get Rich or Die Tryin, a project loosely based on his life and named after his debut album. In the film, he portrayed Marcus Grier, a street hustler determined to reinvent himself through music. He later became widely known for his role in the hit series Power, which he also executive produced, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry. He is also set to appear in the upcoming Street Fighter film, continuing to expand his acting career.

The Hulu project will be directed by Mandon Lovett, known for Boys in Blue and The French Montana Story For Khadija. Executive production will include 50 Cent himself, alongside Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman for IPC, as well as Lovett and Patrick Altema, who will serve as showrunner.

This new series adds to Hulu’s growing lineup of documentary programming. The platform has recently featured a range of high profile projects including Thank You Goodnight The Bon Jovi Story, Friends Like These The Murder of Skylar Neese, Road Diary Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, Devil in the Family The Fall of Ruby Franke, Death in Apartment 603 What Happened to Ellen Greenberg, and Perfect Wife The Mysterious Disappearance of Sherri Papini.

While the documentary has not yet been given an official title, it is already generating interest for its promise of a deeply personal narrative. By focusing on both the struggles and successes that shaped him, the series is expected to offer viewers a closer look at the man behind the brand and the mindset that drove his rise from the streets of Queens to global recognition.
