Quinta Brunson is detaining pregnancy speculation. The Abbott Elementary star was quick to dismiss baby rumors, which arose after she wore a bulky sweater to a New Year's Eve party that appeared to highlight her stomach.
Hours after posting a photo of herself in a white knitted pullover with a matching beanie and a festive headband reading "2026," Quinta wrote on her Instagram Story, "Not pregnant. Sweater in an odd position."
The 36-year-old joked, "Not 2026 already getting my ass."
Quinta dislikes talking about her personal life.
"People have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move," she explained to Bustle in June. "Neither of us does. "I promise you."
That's why she was irritated by the story that she "announced her divorce" from Kevin Anik, when in reality she quietly filed for legal separation in March after three years of marriage.
"I didn't announce anything," she said, explaining that her divorce papers were simply part of the court's "public record."
But that doesn't mean the Emmy winner, who started her career at Buzzfeed before launching her ABC comedy series, doesn't enjoy connecting with her fans.
"I love my fans, I love the people who watch Abbott," Quinta said. "But when it comes to matters of your personal life, you do have to tune it out."
She went further: "Those are invisible voices that aren't in your home with you, that aren't in your personal life, that aren't your friends."
