Ray J was taken into custody on Thanksgiving morning following a volatile livestream in which he appeared to brandish a handgun and make threatening statements during a dispute involving his estranged wife, Princess Love. The incident, which unfolded in the early hours of Thursday, quickly spread online as viewers witnessed the confrontation in real time.

The chaos began when Ray J went live from his Porter Ranch home, telling viewers he was having "the worst Thanksgiving in the f**ing world" and claiming that someone was trying to take his children while he was also being threatened. During the stream, he appeared to grab a gun from a table and load it, warning, "If these n***as step foot close to this door I'm going to blow this f**ing sht away, bro."

Moments later, he left the camera frame and could be heard yelling at someone off-screen, accusing them of trespassing. Princess Love then entered while holding their daughter, stating she was taking the kids. She repeatedly told Ray J, "you pointed a gun at us," while he insisted she and her cousin were intoxicated. She responded by calling him "a woman abuser."

The situation escalated further when another man entered the home. In the recording, Ray J snapped, "I'll shoot the f*** out of you," followed by, "I'll kill you," as a child could be heard crying in the background. Sirens soon approached, and officers arrived to secure the residence. According to Princess, "My son told me there was a gun on the table," though the audio was partially unclear in the livestream.
Law enforcement sources told multiple outlets that police responded around 4 a.m. to reports of a possible domestic violence incident involving threats. Ray J was arrested and booked on a felony charge of making a criminal threat, with bail set at $50,000.

The arrest comes during ongoing divorce proceedings between Ray J and Princess Love, whose relationship has been marked by repeated separations since their 2016 wedding. The pair share two children, Melody and Epik, and have been navigating legal disputes throughout 2024.

As of now, neither Ray J nor Princess Love has released a public statement addressing the incident. Authorities have confirmed that the investigation remains open.
