NBA star Anthony Edwards has accused his ex, Ayesha Howard, of using their young daughter, Aubri’ Summers Howard, to generate income through social media content. In recently surfaced legal filings related to their ongoing custody battle, Edwards claims Howard forces their daughter to participate in videos and posts even when the child is visibly tired, describing her as being treated like “a digital commodity.”

According to Edwards’ legal team, Howard frequently incorporates their daughter into sponsored content and social media campaigns, allegedly monetizing her image to build engagement and income. They argue that she has publicly admitted to making Aubri continue recording despite exhaustion, quoting her statement, “my baby is over content for the day, but momma gotta get back to work.” The filing further claims that Howard treats every legal development in their case as online content, stating, “every court filing becomes a post, every hearing becomes content, and every delay allows continued exploitation of this infant child who cannot consent.”

The accusations come amid a tense custody dispute between the two parents. Howard was previously granted sole legal and physical custody, though Edwards is now seeking expanded rights and a reassessment of the arrangement. He argues that the child’s well-being should not be tied to social media exposure or financial gain. Edwards also contends that the alleged behavior demonstrates a pattern of putting public image and revenue over their daughter’s privacy.

Howard has strongly denied Edwards’ claims, saying that her content creation is unrelated to their custody battle or any financial motive tied to their daughter. She maintains that the allegations misrepresent her actions as a mother and are part of an ongoing legal strategy to undermine her credibility. Her team also states that she has faced reputational harm as a result of the case’s public nature.
