Jennifer Lopez's recent visit to Istanbul came with an unexpected twist when the global superstar was reportedly denied entry to a Chanel boutique.

On Monday, August 4, Lopez, 56, attempted to shop at the high-end fashion store but was stopped by a security guard, who informed her the boutique was already at full capacity, according to local outlet Türkiye Today. Remaining unfazed, she reportedly responded, "Okay, no problem," before walking away.

Witnesses say the Hustlers star was dressed in a baby pink set with matching sunglasses as she explored Istanbul's Istinye Park. Although store employees later realized their mistake and invited her back, Lopez declined the offer. Instead, she continued her shopping trip at rival luxury brands, including Celine and Beymen, where she reportedly spent tens of thousands of dollars.

The incident occurred a day before her August 5 performance at Yenikapi Festival Park during the Istanbul Festival, part of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour. The tour ends on August 12 in Sardinia, Italy. The Istanbul date marked her second visit to Turkey on this run — she previously performed at Regnum Carya Resort Hotel on July 23 and celebrated her birthday the following day.

Lopez's ongoing tour follows the cancellation of her This Is Me... Live concerts in the summer of 2024, a decision she made for personal reasons after expressing deep regret to her fans in her "On The JLo" newsletter.

Following the tour, Lopez will turn her attention to the release of Kiss of the Spider Woman, a musical drama directed by Bill Condon. The film, which premiered at Sundance in January, is scheduled for theatrical release on October 10. Lopez plays Ingrid Luna, a screen diva idolized by one of the main characters, in the adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical.
