Tyra Banks had everyone doing a double take during her appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends when she casually admitted to eating food crumbs off her bed and even the floor days after dropping them.

While co-hosting the show on Monday, July 28, the 51-year-old model and TV personality opened up about her unusual habit while chatting with Jenna Bush Hager. "Hanging in bed. We do ice cream in bed. We do popcorn," Banks said, talking about how she likes to relax and snack in bed with her mom, Carolyn London.

But things got a little weird when Jenna mentioned how much she hates crumbs in bed. That's when Tyra dropped the bomb: "Yes, but the great thing is then a couple days later..." she began.

Jenna cut in, stunned: "No, you do not! A couple days later you get down there and..."

"I do!" Tyra confirmed. "I clean crumbs by eating them. Because if you put it in the trash, it's gonna get roaches or something. So you just clean it up with your finger. Or you just eat it."

Jenna was visibly grossed out and asked if that applied to crumbs on the floor too. "If it's on your ground! That's your feet," Tyra replied. She explained that she has a no-shoes rule in her home, which to her makes it okay. "I can eat off my floor. No, but I'm serious, I do that."

Turns out, her 9-year-old son York has noticed. "Then I see my son doing it and I'm like, 'Don't do that!' And he's like, 'But you do it.'"

Jenna kept pushing, trying to understand the rules. Tyra explained she's fine eating old crumbs if they're not perishable. "A few days if it's not super perishable. Like a popcorn? I mean, come on. That's like astronaut food. It just lasts forever. You just pick it up. I'm not joking."

When asked if she'd eat something a week later, she didn't hesitate. "Yeah, if I knew it was mine in my bed, yeah."

Jenna shared her own story about her daughter dropping a piece of Texas toast on the floor. Tyra was quick to respond: "Your daughter is not a fool. Texas toast is thick and good and buttery. Don't waste that. It's not, like, a two-second, ten-second rule. It's like a minute rule."

Weird or not, Tyra's sticking to it. "To me, it's just cleaning," she said.
