Jourdan Atkinson, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former personal chef, has made explosive claims accusing the rapper of attempting to tamper with witnesses and personally urging Judge Arun Subramanian to keep him behind bars following his split federal verdict.
Atkinson, who worked for Combs and alleges he physically abused her in 2008, was subpoenaed as a prosecution witness for the high-profile trial. Though she never testified at court, she publicly shared via social media that one of Combs’ attorneys directly contacted her after the subpoena (a move she views as deliberate witness tampering) . She posted screenshots she says prove the lawyer “knew I’d been contacted by law enforcement and offered legal help,” heightening her fears of retaliation.
Following the jury’s July 2 verdict, acquitting Combs of racketeering and sex trafficking but convicting him of two counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution, Atkinson signed a letter to Judge Subramanian requesting that Combs be denied bail pending sentencing. In it, she vividly described the ordeal as “traumatizing” and said she fears for her life “upon his release.” Judge Subramanian did deny bail, citing Combs’ domestic violence record and the mandatory detention requirement for his convictions.
Atkinson also shared in her letter and Instagram videos that federal agents subpoenaed her in March 2024, but she initially refused to cooperate due to fear. Only after that did one of Combs’ legal team allegedly reach out, further intensifying her alarm.
Beyond addressing her own safety, the former chef claims that Combs tried influencing multiple witnesses. A widely circulated forum discussion featured screenshots and testimony suggesting Diddy’s team reached out to other subpoenaed individuals prior to grand jury appearances further fueling public concern that he may be exerting undue pressure from behind the scenes. Combs was previously denied release even before his trial for fear his influence could suppress witnesses or manipulate jurors.
