After 14 years of simmering tension, R&B/pop star Ciara has finally broken her silence about the long-rumored beef with Rihanna and shed light on the true state of their relationship today.

The Initial clash dates back to 2011, when Ciara appeared on E!’s Fashion Police and shared that Rihanna “wasn’t the nicest” to her during a party despite having admired her work. Rihanna promptly responded on Twitter, writing, “My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme,” to which Ciara retorted, “Trust me Rihanna u don’t want to see me on or off the stage.” The exchange escalated when Rihanna fired back with the memorable line, “Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.” Although an apology followed that same night, their reconciliation remained private for years.

Fast‑forward to May 5, 2025, Rihanna, visibly pregnant with her third child, and Ciara, attending the Met Gala with husband Russell Wilson, were spotted warmly embracing on the red carpet. In a particularly touching moment, Ciara was seen cradling Rihanna’s baby bump, symbolizing how far they’ve come.

The heartfelt Met Gala moment prompted Ciara to open up further during her appearance on Sherri. She described the encounter as “sweet mommy talk,” expressing pride in Rihanna’s family expansion. The two mothers bonded over their children, Ciara has four, and Rihanna is expecting her third. Ciara even revealed that Rihanna joked with her husband about having a “quatro”. Moreover, Ciara disclosed that Rihanna sent her a supportive direct message months earlier, conveying pride in Ciara’s life and career.

Ciara emphasized that their friendship has matured over time. “I’ve never had an issue with her,” she explained, adding that they “check on each other,” despite their busy lives. Today, it’s a relationship grounded in mutual respect, shared experiences and genuine affection.

During her June 19th  appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ciara further addressed the decade‑old tension with Rihanna, declaring: “We were babies, now we’re mamas doing our thing, it’s all love.” She reflected on their Met Gala reunion, saying they “got to have a good conversation” and celebrated Rihanna’s third pregnancy, adding: “CiCi got a lot of love for RiRi”, a clear sign that any past feud has been replaced by mutual respect and support grounded in their shared experiences as mothers.

Their public reunion has resonated with fans, many applauding the maturity and positivity shown by both women. As Ciara so eloquently put it, their past drama has been transcended by love, forgiveness, and the joys of motherhood.
