When Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired footage in April showing Kenya Moore unveiling highly explicit photos purported to depict newcomer Brit Eady at her Hair Spa event, the fallout was immediate. Eady had repeatedly told producers she did not recognize the image—but was denied a chance to view it prior to broadcasting. After realizing upon later review that the woman in the photo was not her, she took legal
action. On June 5, Eady filed a $20 million lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America. The suit alleges defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false light, sexual harassment,
and the creation of a hostile, gendered workplace.
Eady’s complaint focuses squarely on Episode 5 of Season 16, filmed in June 2024 and aired April 6, 2025. During a cast gathering, Moore shockingly displayed a poster board emblazoned with explicit images insinuating Eady was performing oral sex. As Eady later stated on Instagram, “That photo was not me,” adding that she had first seen it only recently—after the episode aired. She contends producers were aware the image did not show her, or at least were grossly negligent in verifying the claim, yet still chose to present it as fact.
The lawsuit holds Bravo and its employers responsible under respondeat superior for Moore’s actions. Eady’s filing says she sought to view the photo before the broadcast, but Bravo “refused” to comply. As a result, she was publicly humiliated and exposed to sexualized workplace harassment, creating an intolerable environment—culminating in a demand that Bravo remove the episode from all platforms and issue a public apology acknowledging the misrepresentation.
Beyond defamation, the suit cites emotional distress and sexual harassment due to the broadcast of unsolicited explicit content, which portrayed her in a false, damaging light . Eady seeks not only damages and legal fees, but also accountability—for her reputation, mental health, and professional standing. Bravo, for its part, has declined to comment. Meanwhile, Moore was suspended from Season 16 after the incident, eventually leaving the show altogether. The incident also sparked divisive reactions: Watch What Happens Live guest Drew Sidora mocked Eady days later, prompting shock from host Andy Cohen.
