Michael B. Jordan has credited legendary actor and director Denzel Washington with shaping his perspective on fame and social media exposure. In a recent interview with _Vulture_ and _New York Magazine_, Jordan shared the invaluable advice Washington gave him during their collaboration on the 2021 film _A Journal for Jordan_.

“‘Why would they pay to see you on a weekend if they see you all week for free?’” Jordan recalled Washington telling him, a warning against the pitfalls of overexposure in the digital age.
This counsel has significantly influenced Jordan’s guarded approach to public life. Despite his rise to fame and the public interest surrounding his past relationship with Lori Harvey, the actor has remained private. “It creates a demand,” he explained, referring to his choice to share minimal personal information.
Jordan admitted that balancing work and personal life has been a challenge. Constantly moving from one project to the next, he found himself struggling to “take in the moments.” To preserve memories of his journey, he hired a videographer in 2018, who later became his assistant on _Creed III_ and is now set to be an associate producer on

The Thomas Crown Affair_ remake.   The _Sinners_ actor also reflected on his longstanding creative partnership with director Ryan Coogler. Their first project together, _Fruitvale Station_ (2013), came at a time when Jordan was uncertain about his career path. “I was really, really, really unsure of what my career was going to be,” he admitted. “He told me he thought I was a movie star… and he wanted to show the rest of the world that.”

Since then, the duo has collaborated on several critically acclaimed films, including _Black Panther_ and _Creed_. Their latest project, _Sinners_, in which Jordan portrays the notorious Smokestack twins, was released in theaters on April 18 and is available for digital pre-order. The 138-minute film will be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 8, with special features like behind-the-scenes footage and deleted scenes.

Fans can also look forward to a potential on-screen reunion between Jordan and Washington in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “I actually got some things in mind,” Jordan said enthusiastically when asked about casting Washington in a Marvel film, to which Washington quipped, “You better hurry!”
