The 22-year-old cornerback, who was selected sixth overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, shared his reaction while mic'd up on the sidelines at Arrowhead Stadium. His comments captured the admiration he has for the three-time Super Bowl champion, whose presence and performance continue to impress teammates.
"Kelce has so much aura," Delane said in a clip shared on Instagram. "He got so much aura, bro. Kelce has so much aura, like if I had a son, I want him to be just like [Kelce]."
Delane made the remarks as Kelce caught a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes and powered down the field for a 24-yard gain. The play brought the Arrowhead Stadium crowd to its feet as Kansas City strengthened its position with a commanding 22-6 victory over Los Angeles.
The win extended the Chiefs' winning streak to five games, keeping them undefeated and making them the only unbeaten team in the American Football Conference (AFC).
Kelce's impressive reception also attracted attention from the stands, where his wife, singer Taylor Swift, celebrated alongside singer Este Haim. Basketball star Caitlin Clark was also present in the suite, joining the group of high-profile spectators cheering on Kansas City.
Footage shared by NFL on CBS captured the excitement surrounding Kelce's play, with a commentator noting the successful catch and run as fans celebrated the veteran tight end's contribution.
Swift, 36, made her third appearance at a Chiefs game this season. For the occasion, she wore a Louis Vuitton turtleneck bodysuit paired with black trousers. She completed the look with her signature red lipstick, black winged eyeliner, gold ring and hoop earrings.
Images circulating on social media also showed Swift clapping and celebrating alongside Haim and Clark as the Chiefs continued their strong run.
Delane's reaction highlights the influence experienced players can have on younger teammates entering the league. As a rookie, he is beginning his professional career alongside established stars, including Kelce and Mahomes, who have helped shape Kansas City's success in recent years.
The Chiefs will look to maintain their unbeaten record when they travel to Seattle to face the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks on Sunday, October 25.
