Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry recently reunited to celebrate a major milestone in their daughter Nahla's life.

The former couple, who were together from 2005 to 2010, were both spotted attending Nahla's high school graduation in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 4. Their appearance together marked a significant family moment as their daughter, now 18, completed an important chapter before heading off to college.

Photos from the event, held at a California State University campus, showed Berry arriving with her fiancé, musician Van Hunt. The Oscar-winning actress wore a black blouse paired with wide-leg jeans for the occasion. Aubry, meanwhile, arrived separately in a gray suit, white sneakers and dark sunglasses.

Berry and Aubry welcomed Nahla in 2008. Following their split in 2010, the pair spent years navigating custody and child support arrangements concerning their daughter, who was just 2 years old when they ended their relationship. Berry is also mother to 12-year-old son Maceo-Robert, whom she shares with former husband Olivier Martinez.

Over the years, Berry and Aubry's co-parenting relationship occasionally made headlines. In 2020, Berry reportedly sought to lower her monthly child support payments. According to reports at the time, Aubry argued that financial support remained necessary due to challenges securing modeling work. Berry's legal team, however, questioned some of the expenses being covered through the payments. Two years later, reports indicated that the monthly support amount had been reduced.

Despite those legal disputes, Berry has largely kept Nahla out of the public eye as she has grown older. Last October, however, the actress shared her excitement after Nahla received an early acceptance to college. Berry celebrated the achievement with a special cake decorated with the message, "You did it Nahla!!"

Alongside a photo of the dessert, Berry wrote a heartfelt message congratulating her daughter on the accomplishment.

The actress has also spoken openly about her feelings as Nahla prepares to leave home. During an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends in 2025, Berry admitted she feels both emotional and excited about becoming an empty nester.

While she acknowledged the natural worries that come with watching a child become independent, she said she looks forward to seeing who Nahla becomes and what path she chooses.

Berry has also encouraged parents, particularly mothers, to continue pursuing their own passions and careers while raising children, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a fulfilling life beyond parenthood.
