Kevin Hart made sure to celebrate Gary Owen on his wedding day, even though he could not attend in person. The two actors, who worked together on Think Like a Man and its sequel Think Like a Man Too, share a long friendship, and Hart had originally planned to be part of the ceremony.

Owen married Brianna Johnson on March 7 in Texas. Hart was expected to serve as a groomsman but had to miss the event due to filming commitments. Despite that, he found a creative way to be involved bycalling the couple during their big day.

While on set filming the next installment of Jumanji, Hart surprised the newlyweds with a FaceTime call. He was joined by his co star Dwayne Johnson, making the moment even more special. The couple later shared a clip of the call on social media, showing their reaction to the unexpected message.

In the video, producer Will Packer, who was part of the wedding party, held up the phone so Brianna could speak with Hart. The bride, who was getting ready in her suite at the Four Seasons Hotel Houston, told Hart he had been missed. Hart congratulated her warmly, sending love and energy from the film set.

When Johnson appeared on screen, Brianna greeted him and shared her excitement. He responded with a playful reaction after realizing he was speaking to a bride just moments before the ceremony. The interaction added a fun and memorable touch to the wedding day.

Hart also sent a heartfelt message for Owen, asking Brianna to pass along his love and promising to celebrate with them soon. The couple later revealed that the actors had been incredibly kind and thoughtful, with Brianna describing the moment as special.

The celebration itself featured a lively atmosphere, with comedians delivering entertaining speeches and surprise moments for guests. The couple had previously shared that they wanted the event to feel vibrant and enjoyable rather than overly formal, and the unexpected video call fit perfectly with that vision.

Although Hart could not attend in person, his virtual appearance, alongside Johnson, ensured he was still part of the celebration in a meaningful way.
