Snoop Dogg is wrapping his family in love during an incredibly painful moment ... after the devastating death of his 10-month-old granddaughter, Codi Dreaux.
The hip-hop icon publicly showed support for his daughter, Cori Broadus, after she shared the heartbreaking news that her baby girl passed away just weeks after finally coming home from the hospital. Codi had spent nearly her entire life in the NICU following a premature birth.
On Saturday, Snoop posted a family photo to Instagram featuring Cori and his sons, keeping the message simple but powerful with a pair of heart and prayer emojis. The post quickly filled with condolences from fans and friends, all sending strength to the grieving family.
Cori, Snoop's youngest child, announced the loss earlier that day on her Instagram Stories. Alongside a black-and-white photo of herself holding Codi, she wrote, "Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi," capturing the depth of her pain in just a few words.
In a follow-up message, Cori expressed disbelief over the timing of her daughter's passing, noting it came less than a month after Codi was discharged from the hospital. "20 days later?! Dawg I'm sick," she wrote, struggling to process how quickly everything changed.
Codi was born three months premature and remained in intensive care for 10 months. Cori previously opened up about the emotional toll of the long hospital stay, sharing her fears, guilt, and gratitude as she leaned on faith to get through the hardest days.
Earlier in January, Cori celebrated a major milestone when she finally brought her daughter home, posting a sweet photo of the two snuggled together and thanking supporters for their prayers and love.
