The 44-year-old artist, born William Ray Norwood Jr., was admitted after experiencing sudden breathing difficulties and intense “heart pains.” According to reports from TMZ and other major outlets, medical professionals have since diagnosed him with a severe case of pneumonia.

In late 2025, Ray J was embroiled in various legal disputes, including a defamation lawsuit filed by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Just weeks prior to his Las Vegas admission, he had also shared a concerning update with fans regarding a “hitchhiking” project, expressing exhaustion and a desperate desire to return home to his children.
