Offset is pushing back against viral rumors suggesting he made a joke about the newborn son Cardi B recently welcomed with NFL star Stefon Diggs. Over the weekend, social media erupted after screenshots circulated showing what looked like an Instagram Story from Offset that read, _“My kid lol.”_ The alleged post was widely interpreted as a swipe at Cardi and quickly fueled new drama between the former couple. But according to Offset’s camp, the whole thing was fake.

Cardi, however, was visibly shaken before the clarification came out. She took to X, writing that the situation wasn’t funny and that the ongoing harassment around her personal life has taken a toll. She hinted that the constant attention, threats and online commentary have made her feel unsafe at times. In later posts, she expressed frustration over private issues becoming public whenever she ignores attempts to bait her, saying she’s exhausted by the pattern.

The exes, who secretly married in 2017 and share three children together, have had a rocky relationship since Cardi filed for divorce again in 2024. Since their split, she has accused Offset of being inconsistent as a father and claimed she handles the bulk of the financial expenses for their kids.

Cardi recently confirmed she and Diggs welcomed their first child together—a baby boy—and celebrated the moment as a fresh start. She shared that becoming a mother again has given her new motivation to focus on herself, her family and the next chapter of her career.

As for Offset, his team maintains he had no part in the comment that triggered the latest wave of speculation. For now, the source of the fabricated post remains unknown.
