Cardi B is opening up about her choice to use formula as she prepares to welcome her fourth child. The Grammy-winning rapper, 33, has joined Bobbie, an organic infant formula company, as its Chief Confidence Officer. Through the “B is for Bobbie” campaign, she aims to promote confidence in feeding choices, raise awareness about formula quality, and advocate for parental rights in the U.S.

“Breastfeeding takes a lot of time, and some women gotta go straight to work to feed their families and take care of their kids,” Cardi said during a livestream on X Spaces on Thursday, Oct. 16, according to a Bobbie representative. “They can’t spend time just sitting down. Pumping takes literally your whole day. There’s women that gotta go to work. There’s women that just have to depend on the formula. Cardi, who announced her pregnancy on Sept. 17, is expecting her first baby with NFL player Stefon Diggs. She is already mom to daughter Kulture, 7, son Wave, 4, and daughter Blossom, whom she shares with her estranged husband, Offset.Speaking about her partnership with Bobbie, Cardi praised the brand for its advocacy. “On top of that, Bobbie is always fighting for better care for Black and Brown women,” she said, noting that the company has been actively involved in discussions at the White House.

This is the first baby brand Cardi has partnered with. In an interview with _Vogue_ on Oct. 15, she revealed that she had struggled with breastfeeding in the past, saying it took her two hours to produce just two ounces of milk. “It almost made me feel like, does it make me less of a woman if I can’t produce as much milk as the next woman?” she shared. “I don’t think people understand how frustrating it is.”Cardi encouraged mothers to focus on ensuring their babies get proper nutrition rather than worrying about how they feed. “You’re not a bad mom for giving your baby formula,” she said. “You know what’s bad? Not feeding your kid.”
