Nicki Minaj has accused several people of stealing thousands of dollars from her American Express card, prompting her to file an official policereport. The rapper took to Instagram on October 14 to air out her frustration and share details of what she described as ongoing theft.
“3 different people in a span of 2 months charging my Amex w/o permission,” she wrote. “Some couldn’t even explain how they had the brand new card number. Hmmmm.” Screenshots she posted showed several transactions, including charges of $7,000, $8,030.59, $5,552.63, and $4,333.22. According to Minaj, the unauthorized purchases total nearly $25,000.
The “Pink Friday 2” star suggested that some of the culprits may have been exploiting her account for years. “A couple of them have been doing it for years. Filed the first report a couple of weeks ago. They’re all going to jail,” she said. Minaj went on to allege that one individual used a tracking device to monitor her movements, claiming authorities were able to trace it to the suspect’s phone number. “You can’t MAKE this sh*t up,” she added. “Won’t GOD do it?! Yes he will!”
In a follow-up post, Minaj said she had personally confronted some of those involved. “Let’s see if they’ll go to jail for their ring leaders,” she wrote. “Let’s see if they’ll save themselves or be a part of the RICO. Hope the group chats were worth it. Everyone who got caught said the dumbest s**t. Caught RED handed being thieves & worse.”
While Minaj did not name anyone directly, blogger Tasha K claimed to have insight into the situation. “Nicki Minaj filed a Police Report against DiAndre Tristian the Stylist last week for stealing MONEYYY!!!” she tweeted, adding that “other names are expected to drop soon.” She further alleged that the stylist had a past conviction for credit card fraud in 2010.
Minaj wrapped up her posts on a lighter note, mentioning she was “sitting here smelling like Pink Friday 2 fragrance” and would take a hot shower to “put everything into perspective.”
As of now, neither Minaj’s team nor law enforcement have issued any public updates regarding the case.
