Gina Huynh, a former longtime associate and on-and-off romantic partner of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has written a heartfelt letter to the presiding judge in his case, urging for his release from jail ahead of his October 3rd sentencing. In the letter, Huynh pleads for compassion, stating that Diddy has shown sincere efforts to turn his life around and should be granted the opportunity to continue his personal growth outside of confinement.

Addressing the court directly, Huynh acknowledged Diddy’s past mistakes but emphasized that the hip-hop mogul was “actively working to make better decisions” in both his personal and professional life prior to his incarceration. “Sean is not the same man he was five years ago, or even one year ago,” she wrote. “He’s made serious efforts to change his circle, reflect on his behavior, and seek help in areas where he once struggled in silence.”

Huynh, who has had a complex and public relationship with Combs over the years, stated that her plea was not rooted in emotion alone but in firsthand knowledge of the work Diddy had been doing behind the scenes to become a better father, friend, and leader. “I’ve seen his growth. I’ve seen him choose peace when he would’ve chosen anger. I’ve seen him reflect, apologize, and ask how he can be better.”

She also highlighted the impact Diddy’s absence is having on his family, particularly his children. “His kids need him. They’re hurting without their father, and despite what’s being said in the media, Sean is a man who deeply loves his family.”

Huynh’s letter adds a personal and emotional layer to the high-profile case. While prosecutors remain firm in their stance that Combs must remain in custody due to the serious nature of the allegations, supporters like Huynh hope the court will take his alleged progress and intentions into account.
