Model and influencer Nara Smith recently sat down with Jay Shetty on his popular On Purpose podcast, offering a rare and heartfelt glimpse into her personal journey, that is, navigating early fame, harsh online judgment, and a fast-paced love story that turned into a lasting marriage.

At just 23 years old and currently expecting her fourth child, Nara opened up about how difficult it was to deal with public scrutiny, especially the “tradwife” label frequently pinned on her. Known for her elegant cooking and homemaking videos, Nara said the criticism was once overwhelming, admitting that she would cry almost daily and often didn’t want to leave the house. Over time, though, she has learned to let go of external opinions. Her new mantra is simple: “I’m gonna do me, and whoever resonates with that—great.”

She spoke about the misconceptions behind her content, clarifying that her love for cooking and homemaking comes from a place of joy and creativity, not submission. In fact, she emphasized that she and her husband, model Lucky Blue Smith, share household and parenting responsibilities equally.

Nara also discussed how she first rose to fame, beginning with TikTok videos that merged her passion for food with aesthetics. Her unique style quickly gained attention and by age 14, she had already signed with a top modeling agency. Cooking, she shared, became both a therapeutic outlet and a way to nourish herself during a time when she was dealing with personal health issues.

The podcast also touched on her whirlwind romance with Lucky. The two met in 2019 during Milan Fashion Week, and their connection was immediate. In a bold move, Lucky asked Nara’s father for her hand in marriage during their very first meeting. They were engaged just two days later and married within two months. Now, five years into marriage, the couple is raising three children together and co-parenting Lucky’s daughter from a previous relationship.
