Megan Thee Stallion has once again spoken out against renewed attempts to dispute the facts of her 2020 shooting, for which rapper Tory Lanez was convicted in 2022. In a passionate TikTok post, the Grammy-winning artist firmly addressed those continuing to question the court’s verdict, as well as recent claims made by Lanez’s legal team. “At what point are y’all gonna stop making me relive being shot BY TORY!?” Megan asked, expressing frustration over continued harassment and misinformation. “At what point are Tory and y’all fans gonna stop lying? Like how much is the check to keep harassing me?”
Lanez, convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, negligent discharge, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm, was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Despite the legal outcome, his defense team has recently revived a theory that Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former friend, was the actual shooter. Megan responded: “HE AIN’T DARE GET ON THAT STAND AND DENY HE SHOT ME… BECAUSE HE KNOWS HE DID THAT SH*T!”
As Lanez’s team pushes for a pardon—with public support from figures like Drake and Chris Brown—a Change.org petition has added fuel to the fire. Megan responded by highlighting the toll of constantly having to defend the truth: “One min him/y’all said I was never shot, now y’all letting him play in y’all face AGAIN and say I was shot but it wasn’t him… oh okay?!”
In 2024, Megan filed a restraining order against Lanez, despite the case having been legally settled. The artist criticized the ongoing attempts to rewrite history: “WHY IN TF WOULD ME… MEGAN THEE STALLION HAVE TO LIE ON THIS MF ABT SHOOTING ME!?”
She also addressed the recent developments involving Lanez being stabbed in prison, which has brought the case back into the public eye. Lanez’s team claimed he suffered 14 stab wounds, resulting in collapsed lungs and temporary use of a breathing machine.
But Megan remains clear and unwavering in her message: “FACTS ARE FACTS, he did it, it was PROVEN IN COURT. F*** the hate campaign on the internet. TORY YOU SHOT ME!! Ain’t no new fing evidence y’all been saying the same s for years.”
She concluded with a final plea: “TORY PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE. You a f**ing demon. I’m off this silly a internet s**. BYE.”
